Summary of my Week by Vittoria

On the first day we spoke together with our Bulgarian and Portuguese friends of the naturalistic itinerary; for example of the parks,of the Sycamore Alley and of the Botunya River.

On the second day we spoke about of the food itinerary, and together with my classmates we discovered new Bulgarian recipes.
Finally on the third day we spoke about of the folk itinerary; on this last day our Bulgarian friends taught us they danced their traditional dance.
We also had meetings at school where for example we learned to write our name in Bulgarian.

Giulia here

This week, we participated in some video calls on Erasmus.

We saw some traditional costumes, traditional food and traditional dances of Bulgaria and Portogallo.
We have also learned the Bulgarian alphabet. It was very interesting!

Teodor

I really liked the Erasmus project. I have great memories from Portugal. For example the time we went to the pool during the SPA experience. But my favourite moment was in Italy when we played that special game. To win we had to run around the city and this is how we explored it also it was a lot of fun. It is a pitty that students and teachers from Italy and Portugal couldn’t come to Bulgaria. Exploring another country is a great adventure and I am so sorry that my Portugal and Italian friends couldn’t come to Bulgaria.

Dimitar

 Hi!

The experience in both of the countries was amazing! In the beginning, I didn’t feel well but the other days I was so happy. The places we visited were incredible! Also the people that we slept in were so kind. These two holidays were very different than the other holidays I’ve had. But really there were no bad things I could talk about. I’m sad that covid hit and the other students can’t come here to visit our town. But in my opinion, some day they will come here, matter what.

The project was very interesting and funny. I am very happy because I had a chance to be in it. We learned a lot of things from our traditions, food, alphabet and dances. We watched videos from our countries. I found friends from Portugal and Italy and I was writing to them. I am sorry that you cannot come here, but I hope to see each other again face to face.

Preslav Here

In this project I learned a lot about Fiuggi’s historytraditions and food.  I didn’t like the food very much because there wasn’t much meat in it . But I liked the things we were doing. I’m  sorry that my new friends can’t come, I wanted to show them the Bulgarian food.

Overall experience by Martin

This week was very exciting. I got the chance to see my friends from Portugal and Italy even online and they got to learn about the Bulgarian culture, alphabet, customs and traditions. I want to say thank you to my teachers, that I had the chance to visit these beautiful countries and to meet these wonderful people.

Teachers from Portugal and Italy are very nice and friendly. I feel special that I got the chance to be part of this project. I hope to see all of them face to face one day.

Once again, thank you.

Martin Denchev

Konstantin’s farewell to the project

The project was very nice. I saw my friends, I wrote to them. I asked them how they were and what they were doing. During the days we read, we showed you our traditions, we taught you our alphabet, you wrote your names in Bulgarian. We had fun all the time, even though we were online. I hope to see you again.

How can we recycle masks during covid

We could use them as rings for example

Let me gather some thoughts

Giulia’s opinion

Yesterday we talked about the Bulgarian folk path. I found particularly interesting the costumes that are used during the "parties".

The "party" that I found most interesting is that of colored necklaces.

1st. day...

Yesterday, I think the activities went well, even with some internet problems, but we were able to hear the other students and teachers from Italy and Bulgaria.

With the activities, I learned a little about the traditions of Bulgaria and specifically Varshets, I also found out more about their city and I think it is a fantastic place to stay on vacation and relax with its great waters.

I really enjoy being with my friends from other countries again and I knew they were fine.

Uff ... So cold !!!

I really enjoyed getting to know the Bulgarian traditions.

This first session was very productive and we saw different traditions and cultures.

I was shocked when they told us that they dive into frozen water.

Day 4 - thoughts

Good afternoon, this is my comment :

Today I like the traditions of this nation, Bulgaria. Particularly I like the "day of the forgiveness", because I find it very important above all for young people, because sometimes we don’t  say sorry for our pride. It was a very interesting lesson!

Giorgia M.

What I leaned

Bulgaria is divided into 4 parts (regions) each part has its own uses, customs, traditions and dance. There are several types of foods:

Airan (drink)
Soups are famous in Bulgaria :
-Bean soup 🥣
-Tharacian chicken with vegetables.

Veronica M.

I want to dance folk

Gianmarco

NATURAL AND SPA ITINERARY

The water attractions are very popular and very celebrated in Bulgaria.                                                       The SPA celebration is in the first week of August, here the Bulgarian have a lot of compettions for the children and in the weekend there is a Folkloristic Feast. The first mineral bath was built in 1910 and his water could have about 37 degrees. The resort host two spa clinics and some guest room. The Varshets mineral spring have been used from the roman and they was been used for 160 years for medical purpose.

MY COMMENT IS ITALIAN... LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN GET IT!

LORIS

other legends and traditions

The other ancient tradition, is those where a man and a woman walk barefoot on little pieces of wood fiery, between the night of Saint Constantine and Saint Helena, this is the rite of Nestinarstvois.

For another belief, on 23rd of June, in the middle of the summer, during dawn, those who see their shadow straight, will have luck for the rest of the year, and those who see half of their shadow , must take a bath in a river to have luck.

Luca and Gianmarco speaking here

Today I liked that in Italy for carnival we give eggs instead they exchange flour, beans and other things but eggs for something similar at Easter

GIANMARCO

Bulgaria is very beautiful because the tradition is very good. the costumes are very funny because the masks are strage.

My personal view on today's virtual experience... by Nicola

an old Bulgarian's ritual is the "fire walk", when a person walks on embers' fiery bed, goes beyond his limits to connect with his body and mind.

for me this festivity is beautiful because you are able to face your fears

NICOLA G.

THE DOLL AND OTHER ANCIENT BELIEFS BY CRISTIAN

Bulgarian traditions are beautiful and remarkable, especially those folkloristic. I liked above all “the doll” tradition, where the people drop a flower bunch in a river, and the person who takes it, will become a  godmother. In this traditions, there are a lot of ancient beliefs, and they are very interesting.

Cristian A. C.

MY OPINION ON FIRE WALKING EXPERIENCES

In Bulgaria there is a fire walking ritual. These people dance on the Glowing ember. I like this ritual so much.
